Leave driveways and paths undisturbed

Install below finished surfaces without digging a trench across them.

Minimal Digging, instant reinstatement

Small access pits, backfilled as soon as the installation is complete.

Lower Cost

Less excavation and surface repair can mean a lower overall project cost.

The charger you want.
A discreet route to power it.

Install a cable duct beneath your driveway or front path to reach a wall-mounted charger or charging post. We plan the underground route with your electrician’s cable and duct requirements in mind.

Less upheaval outside.

Create a route for a new or replacement incoming water supply, including suitable lead-pipe replacement projects. Moling can take the pipe beneath paved areas between the boundary and your home.

PAVING WORTH KEEPING

Below the path.
Beyond the obvious.

Stone paving, block paving or a tarmac drive: the important part is the surface between the working pits. Where the route is suitable, moling crosses beneath it.

Impact moling creates a straight bore through suitable ground between working pits. The new pipe or duct follows the underground route, limiting how much of the surface needs to be opened up.

Access pits are still required. Ground conditions, roots, buried services and obstructions determine whether moling is suitable and whether extra excavation is needed.

LONDON ACCESS, THOUGHT THROUGH

Small access.
Useful reach.

Our smaller compressor is 800mm wide, opening up options for narrow passages and gates. The compressor can typically sit up to 30m from the launch pit.

We commonly install pipe and duct up to 40mm outside diameter. Larger runs can be assessed; larger equipment needs at least 1,500mm access.

EXPERIENCE BENEATH LONDON

Small domestic routes.
Substantial experience.

Our team’s experience includes 800m of moling across three London projects, beneath stone paving, garden paths and tarmac drives. These are project totals across multiple runs.

Marylebone Square 200m

Below paths and stone paving, including a route into a historic gazebo base.

Notting Hill 200m

Underground installation through an established site, including beneath a playground.

Earls Court 400m

Beneath a tarmac driveway and garden paths, with routes close to mature London plane trees.

BEFORE WE START

A few useful
answers.

A new charger or water supply starts with a clear understanding of the route.

Can you get a cable under my existing driveway?

Where ground and access conditions are suitable, we can form a bore for a duct beneath the driveway. Your electrician specifies the cable and duct requirements; connections, testing and commissioning are agreed separately.

Can you install a replacement incoming water pipe?

Yes, we can provide the underground route and agreed pipe supply. We confirm the pipe specification, entry points, connection responsibilities and any water-company requirements for your project.

Will you need to lift any paving?

Access pits are needed at the ends of each run. If those can be placed in suitable unpaved ground, it may reduce disturbance to your driveway. Pits in finished surfaces, service crossings or obstructions may require local lifting and reinstatement.

Can the mole go around an obstacle or tree root?

Ordinary impact moling follows a planned straight line; it cannot be steered around obstacles. Existing services and tree constraints must be assessed before choosing a route. Additional pits or a different method may be necessary.

What should I send for a quotation?

Your postcode, approximate route length, what you need installed and photographs of both ends and the surface between. Include the narrowest access width and any specification from your electrician or plumber.
